Harsh Sarvaiya

Harsh is a Qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor's in Commerce from the University of Mumbai. He has over six years of experience in private market investments.
Started as an investment banker at Centrum Capital, he advised on various transactions including fund-raising and M&A across education and consumer. His interest in sustainable businesses that solves real challenges in the core sectors led him to join India's largest Impact Investor, Aavishkaar Capital. As an Investment Analyst, he played a key role in executing deals along with Investment Managers on fintech (Chqbook), Agritech (Ergos), and Logisticstech (GoBolt), as well as screened and evaluated multiple companies across various sectors including Climatetech, Alternative Protein. He assisted Investment Managers in closely monitoring marquee portfolio companies (AgroStar, GoBolt) and actively took initiatives for the smooth functioning of Investment processes and systems.
Harsh also took an unconventional path of taking a career break to focus on his health and mental wellness. In his last stint at Brand Capital - Times of India Group, he continued to invest in impact-focused start-ups that require consumer awareness and trust capital.
Harsh enjoys running marathons and trekking. He has completed a few 21Ks with PB @ 2.00 hrs and 10Ks with PB @ 0.50 hrs. He is currently working towards his first full marathon. He has also completed the 10-Day Vipassana Course.
Harsh believes that India's growth story has just started. A decade into, the Start-up and VC ecosystem needs patience, and a marathon mindset culminating in responsible investing and exits. This calls for dedicated efforts in building a multi-faceted institution that promotes innovation and entrepreneurship.
