Blume Elevates Arpit Agarwal To Director. Strengthens Platform Team With Hires In Marketing And Networks Roles

In February 2020, just before the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, we announced the close of our third fund at $102 million.
As we come to the end of 2020, building the team through an otherwise difficult year, we are happy to announce the promotion of Arpit Agarwal as Director.
Blume’s Directors Arpit and Sajith are high impact leadership members of the team and form the senior leadership team along with Ashish Fafadia, Sanjay Nath and Karthik Reddy.
Arpit Agarwal held fort in Delhi for over 4 years from 2014 onwards. He helped us build a strong brand in the startup community in NCR. As an early Head Starter, he continued to build for Blume until he was joined by Sajith and helped grow the team and presence. Over the past few years, Arpit has been responsible for key thesis areas for Blume in Deep Tech, EVs and Healthcare.
Sanjay Nath (Co-Founder, Blume) added – “Arpit has been a pivotal part of the Blume journey, helping script our culture book as he grew into a leadership role. He has mentored and grown our sister platform Passion Connect. He leads several growth investments for Blume such as Spinny, Milkbasket, IntrCity, and BeatO amongst others. Arpit was instrumental in kicking off an ecosystem-wide India Deep Tech (IDT) initiative that has brought together university labs, founders, investors and corporates, aimed at finding and nurturing IP and sciences-led startup innovation.”
Alongside Arpit’s elevation to Directorship, Blume also made two new hires in the early part of 2020. Sarita Raichura (previously, Regional Head at Indian Angel Network) has joined Blume as Principal and leads the Learning and Network initiatives for the Blume Platform.
Vinay Rao joined Blume as the Marketing & PR Lead will be responsible for ensuring that the Blume brand reaches all stakeholders (LPs, existing portfolio, potential portfolio, follow-on investors, and the wider ecosystem). Blume continues to be big believers in adding high quality resources to the Platform team through 2020 with some more additions expected in early 2021.
The Blume Platform has been a force multiplier to the Blume Investments team. The funding is augmented with a broad range of post-investment support and services — ranging from talent acquisition, learning and development, connecting portfolio companies through community building initiatives, helping our portfolio raise growth capital, diligence and documentation, financial management and control, and creating opportunities across Blume’s corporate network and the wider startup ecosystem.
