Karthik is arguably one of the best sounding boards in the early stages of a business on capital raising, user and customer behaviour and product-market fit. Humble and approachable, he’s passionate about entrepreneurs who refuse to give up despite the odds and those who chase ideas that create fundamental positive shifts. He’s the architect of the Blume business model and investment hypothesis framework which he constantly iterates with his team members. He is an alumni of IIT (Roorkee), IIM (Bangalore) and the Wharton School.


Fun-Fact: An amateur space buff, Karthik has an equally good grip of the art world, is married to a painter and loves all music from opera to rock, classical to hindi pop.



Sanjay is well regarded as one of Blume’s key faces. Affable and congenial, he is constantly cultivating founders, investors, corporates, angels and vc peers. Blume’s Platform model and vibrant network leans heavily on his ability to think laterally, connect the dots, and reach across the global ecosystem-at-large. He believes the science of early-stage investment philosophies and processes, while vital, should always leave room for the art of a practised-gut. Sanjay is an alumni of BITS Pilani and UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Business.


Fun-Fact: Sanjay is passionate about Lego, football (he’s a big FC Barcelona fan) and is an avid fan of travel and photography.

Ashish’s experience spans 15 years across Banking and Finance in areas like Treasury (Rupee & Forex), Venture Capital (investment structuring), portfolio management and exits of small and mid sized companies. An early member of the team, his current role as CFO has him oversee structuring of investments, portfolio monitoring and fund raising. A Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary by qualification, he has also been a visiting faculty and speaker at industry associations and premier business schools.

Fun Fact:Ashish enjoys theatre and cricket apart from his new-found interest in heritage sites which takes him on exploratory tours to all corners of the country.



Arpit has been actively engaged with startups for more than 10 years, first as a co-founder of Headstart Network and then full-time at TLabs before joining Blume. He started Academic Ventures back in 2010 to help science from Indian labs reach the market. Arpit is our Delhi face, responsible for taking care of the Blume ecosystem up north. He helped start the Talent Acquisition unit under Constellation and also works closely with the portfolio on media relations. He’s an alumnus of NIT Trichy and IIT Bombay’s SJMSOM.


Fun-fact: Arpit is a rookie Tabla player, intermittently at it for more than two years and is the only VC who gets to live on IIT Delhi campus.

Avantika is outgoing and dynamic, currently leading the effort on building Platform Blu. While a practising generalist, she’s a die-hard salesperson at heart. Cross-functional start-up exposure gives her valuable insight into the day to day travails of business-building in India. Her high energy levels and keen attention to detail are useful when collaborating with portfolio founders and members of the Blume ecosystem. She is an alum of St Xavier’s College Mumbai and IIM (Lucknow).


Fun-Fact: Avantika is a buff of Punjabi music, both folk and contemporary and her penchant for theatrics and comedy keeps her colleagues in good humor.



Dhanasree focuses on investment research, building investment theses and portfolio management. The dynamism of the startup world inspired her to move from Deutsche Bank’s investment banking division to the venture capital domain. She holds the distinction of being Blume’s youngest team member and is a voracious reader who loves blogging about recent developments in sectors of interest. An alumnus of IIT Bombay, she was the first girl ever to be General Secretary of Academic Affairs (GSAA) at her college.


Fun Fact: Dhanasree along with Ashish make up Blume’s singing duo. An ardent lover of the arts, she is trained in Carnatic Violin and Kuchipudi.

Rohan is always thinking about putting the pieces of the puzzle together. At Blume, this translates into a focus on bringing together entrepreneurs, investors and ideas. His years of experience in a global investment bank have imbibed in him structured thinking and an analytic lens. His early stage startup experience on the other hand, has given him the ability to see through the chaos and a strong appreciation of the struggles of younger companies. Rohan is an alumnus of IIT Bombay and the Indian School of Business.


Fun fact: A beach bum at heart, Rohan is also a Seinfeld nut and a recently converted dog person.



Sajid was one of the early members of the Blume team. He spends his time meeting and scouting exciting teams that solve large disorganised problems, predominantly India centric. Consumer and B2B businesses are companies that he looks at. Prior to venture capital, he founded and sold a IT services firm that served some of the world’s leading telecom companies. Sajid has a business management degree from the European Business School and the Regents Business School, London and has done courses in venture capital and private equity at ISB.


Fun-Fact: Sajid is an avid reader, an aviation enthusiast who tries to spend his free time logging hours to obtain his private pilot license and enjoys playing with his Great Dane, Chili on weekends.

Sanam is an energetic and passionate individual whose love for Talent Management will never go unnoticed – she is the enthusiastic people’s person you will meet in the Blume office. She comes with e-commerce recruitment experience and is now leading the talent unit at Constellation Blu to aid our portfolio companies acquire top notch talent. She has earned her International Baccalaureate from Kodaikanal International School and is an alumni of Kingston University, London.


Fun Fact: Sanam is a certified scuba diver and a book-fiend in hiding.
